Volkswagen Car Wont Turn Off. I could start it normally After taking it to a mechanic, my ignition went out and had to be. just used my car today and went to close the door as usually. hit the alarm key and the horn did go off and the interior lights stayed on. the alarm light and doors still work normally. any ideas on what it is (door sensor)? where is the door closed sensor located. search is not working right now.? When a car's headlights won't turn off, the battery will drain down very quickly.
